Google Ads manager (MCC) accounts

The client accounts you expected aren't listed when connecting Google Ads, or a connected client account isn't returning data. MCC setups have a few specific failure modes — here they are, most common first.

You authorized the wrong Google account

Advec lists the accounts visible to the Google account you authorized — not the one you use to sign in to Advec. Agencies commonly sign in to Advec with a personal or company Google account, but their MCC access lives on a different login.

Fix: reconnect Google Ads and, in the Google authorization popup, explicitly pick the account that has MCC access. Don't let Google default to the last-used account.

Advec uses your manager account login to access the clients underneath it — so the authorizing account is everything. If it can't see a client in the Google Ads UI, Advec can't either.

The client account isn't linked under your MCC

Advec discovers client accounts through the manager account's links. If a client link is still pending acceptance, or the client was linked to a different MCC in your organization, it won't appear.

Fix: in Google Ads, confirm the client account shows as an active linked account under the MCC you authorized, then reconnect in Advec.

Missing permissions on the client account

Your MCC link may exist but with restricted access that doesn't include reading campaign data.

Fix: have an admin on the client account grant the MCC standard (read) access, then reconnect.
