The issues inbox
An issue is one problem on one of your clients' accounts, such as a campaign that stopped delivering or a landing page that's down. However many times Advec sees it, it stays one issue: each repeat attaches to it, and the issue shows how many times it's been seen.
Tiers
| Tier | What it means | Does it alert you? |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | The most serious problems, such as a suspended account, a campaign that stopped delivering or a large budget increase | Yes. Straight away, then again every 5 minutes until someone acknowledges it |
| Operational | Worth checking, such as a paused campaign or a pacing warning | Once when it opens, and once each time it comes back |
| Ambient | Routine changes, such as a creative edit or a small budget change | Never. It waits in the inbox and the digest |
An issue keeps the highest tier it has reached. It never drops.
Statuses
| Status | When it applies |
|---|---|
| New | The first 7 days after the issue was first seen |
| Ongoing | After those 7 days |
| Escalating | At least 5 events in the last 24 hours, and more than 3 times its daily average over the week before. Checked once a day, and only for issues made of setting changes |
| Regressed | It came back within 30 days of being resolved. Back to ongoing after 7 quiet days. After 30 days, a new issue opens instead |
| Snoozed | Until the snooze ends |
| Resolved | By you, or by Advec when the problem cleared |
Escalating is about how often a problem happens; it doesn't send an alert.
Why it fired
Open an issue to see why it got its tier (under Why critical and so on), who made the change, and its timeline. The timeline shows up to the latest 200 entries and collapses repeated checks into runs you can expand.
Acting on an issue
- Acknowledge tells Advec someone is on it, and stops a critical's repeat alerts. The issue stays open.
- Snooze for 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or Until it worsens. A snoozed issue is hidden from the default view and silenced until the snooze ends or its tier rises.
- Assign to me marks it as yours; Unassign clears it.
- Resolve closes it. Reopen brings it back.
Issues that resolve themselves
Advec resolves these on its own when the problem clears: stopped delivery, overspend, a page that's down, an account it can't read, pacing, performance bands and account health. If you were alerted about a critical that resolves this way, you get a one-off recovery notice.
Setting changes, "no approved ad left", single-ad disapprovals, limited or ended campaigns and failed learning never clear on their own. Resolve them yourself. Ambient issues close after 7 days with no new occurrence.
Finding issues
Issues in the sidebar lists every client's issues. For one client, use Issues by client on the dashboard. Filter by Status (the default, Unresolved, hides resolved and snoozed), Tier and Actor.
Issues appear on every plan. Sending alerts to email, Slack or a webhook needs Pro or Agency — see Set up alerts.
