Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most, about security, data, and your account.

Can Advec change my ads?

No. Advec requests read-only access to your ad platforms and never modifies campaigns, budgets, targeting, or ads. It observes and records; every change in your feed was made by someone (or something) else, on the platform itself.

How is my ad account access stored?

When you connect an ad platform, the platform issues Advec an access token — Advec never sees or stores your ad platform password. Those tokens are encrypted at rest in our database. When you disconnect an account, its tokens are deleted. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

How quickly do changes show up?

Ad account changes appear within about 30 minutes — that's the polling interval. Website monitors are checked as often as every 5 minutes, depending on the monitor's check frequency.

Which platforms are supported?

Meta Ads and Google Ads, including Google manager (MCC) accounts. TikTok and Microsoft Ads aren't supported yet.

Does Advec tell me who made a change?

No — Advec detects what changed and when. The ad platforms' APIs don't expose which user made an edit, so attribution to a person isn't possible. Pairing the change timeline with project notes is the practical way to reconstruct who did what.

How do I change my email or password?

In the app's Settings page. If you signed up with Google, your identity is managed by Google and there's no Advec password to change.

How do I disconnect an ad account?

Open the project, find the connected account, and click Disconnect. Monitoring for it stops and its access tokens are deleted. Its change history remains in the project.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email hello@getadvec.com from your account email and we'll delete your account and associated data.
